Photo Montage

For this project, most of the skill comes from the photography. I took a lot of different pictures of a tree outside our school, from all different angles. After taking the images, it didn't take long to put together in photoshop. After I matched all the photographs, I thought about putting a layer filter on all the images to give it a more edgy feel. After playing around with that for a bit, I decided keeping filters off gave the original photos a more simple look and kept the montage in full integrity.

Ride for Hope

This was a flyer I did for a fundraiser, not assigned to in my Digital Imaging class. I used a color schemer online to choose 3 colors that compliment each other. I used two of the colors as a background, and the other for my font. I got a new font from online at dafont.com and downloaded it. Everything else was put together on Photoshop.

Hands Collage

For this assignment, we took pictures of our own of people's hands to make a collage out of. I got one picture with a couple holding hands, and centered my piece on this image. I then took pictures of different types of hands to make it a bit unique (with rings, bracelets, scars, wrinkles, etc.). When cutting out the background of all the hand imaged, I learned a new technique: the layer mask. When using the layer mask, if you mess up you don't have to start all over with a new image, but can just put a new mask on. This new tool was very useful. I desaturated the hands around my main image and kept the couple in color so one's eye gets drawn to the center.
