Jerry Uelsmann

This project was very frustrating for me to do. It was inspired by the artist, Jerry Uelsmann, who has the general style of taking two different settings and combining them into one image. For this project, I took an old, antique-type room, and combined it with a beach setting. It was simple for me to accomplish in the first room that is closest to the artist, but the back room was more difficult. The lighting in the rooms caused some need for shadowing in the second room in order for it to look farther away. I tried to accomplish this by darkening the layer, but it still didn't quite turn out as I was expecting.

Trailside Art Show 2012

This is a simple flyer for the Trailside Art Show that is coming up for WAHS. I didn't add much on the flyer, because I didn't want it to be too busy, considering that there is already so much text that is necessary for the flyer. I think it would have been cool if we had approached this similar to last year, where we had some of the artwork that was going to be in the show, so we could include it in our flyer. I would have liked to make it the background to the flyer, or at least include them in some way, so viewers could get a chance to look at the artwork coming up in the show.
